Dodgers Place Hanley Ramirez On 15-Day DL, Recall Dee Gordon

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Dodgers Saturday placed shortstop Hanley Ramirez on the 15-day DL.

Ramirez, 29,  injured his left hamstring in the 6th inning of Friday night's 2-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.

To replace Ramirez on the roster, the Dodgers called up shortstop Dee Gordon from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Gordon, 25, appeared in 143 MLB games from 2011-2012 with a .260 BA, 56 steals, one home run and 28 RBI.

At Albuquerque Gordon had a .314 BA, 19 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples and 12 RBI in 25 games with the Isotopes. He was also leading the Pacific Coast League with 14 stolen bases in 16 attempts.

Ramirez had just been reinstated from the disabled list on Monday after right thumb surgery. In four games, he went 5-for-11 with a home run and an RBI.
