Woman Accused Of Taking Part In Identity Theft, Fraud, Forgery

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have arrested a woman who allegedly tried to purchase $5,000 worth of electronics on an American Express Card obtained using another person's identity.

Deputies from the Loss Prevention Unit responded to a business in the 12000 block of 4th Street in Rancho Cucamonga on May 2 and tried to question Faye Luella Fagnernes, 30.

Officials said when they attempted to question Fagnernes, she fought with them.

They also allege she yelled to a male accomplice who fled the location in a dark green Lexus.

Deputies later located the suspect Lexus and reportedly found Eric Tuan Nguyen, 34, and Meghan Nicole Mitchell, 28, in the vehicle.

During a search of a hotel room Fagnernes fraudulently rented, detectives turned up personal information for several more alleged identity theft victims.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes is urged to contact Deputy M. Young or Detective Lynn Silvey at (909) 477-2828.
