Child Care Worker, 29, Sentenced For Molesting 2 Boys

SANTA ANA (AP) — An Orange County child care worker convicted of molesting two boys in an afterschool program has been sentenced to 27 years to life in prison.

Judge Gary Paer said 29-year-old Scott Andrew Christensen violated his position of trust before sentencing him on Friday.

City News Service reports Christensen molested two boys in his care at a Saddleback Valley Unified School District after-school daycare program.

Deputy District Attorney Nagy Morcos said the molestations occurred when the lights were dimmed during movie screenings, and happened sometime between 2000 and 2004.

Christensen was previously convicted in 2008 of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old boy he was babysitting.
