Burglary Suspect Climbs On Roof In Venice During Standoff With Police
VENICE (CBSLA.com) — A robbery suspect was arrested Friday after he climbed onto a roof in Venice during a standoff with police.
Police responded to a report of a burglary around 6 a.m. near 6th Street and Vernon Avenue.
The male suspect, who is believed to be in his 20s, reportedly ran from officials and climbed onto the roof of a home in the area.
Around 9:20 a.m. the man, who had taken his shirt off, came down and was taken into custody.
A SWAT team was called in to assist with the situation.
