Police Investigating After Car Plows Into Woodland Hills Home

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police are investigating after an SUV on Thursday plowed into a Woodland Hills home.

The accident occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on the 4700 block of Del Moreno Drive.

The driver, believed to be a neighbor of the family living at the residence, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the den, through a spare bedroom and into a bathroom.

"We went outside and we saw there was an SUV that was stuck in the side of the house, as if someone had thrown it at the house," homeowner Fred Krimm told KCAL9'S Suraya Fadel.

The Krimm family escaped without injury. They were in the kitchen when the car careened through their home.

"We heard the loudest crash imaginable. We had no idea whatsoever what had happened," Fred Krimm said.

"Thank goodness we were eating dinner at the other end of the house," Susan Krimm added.

The driver remained hospitalized at press time.

It was unclear if she had any kind of medical emergency that may have caused the crash.

The home has been yellow tagged by authorities until it is deemed safe.
