1 Injured In Deputy-Involved Shooting In South Gate

SOUTH GATE (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Sunday continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding a deputy-involved shooting in South Gate.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy Kim Manatt said in a department statement that the shooting happened about 8:30 p.m. Saturday in the 9600 block of Atlantic Avenue.

A suspect, identified as a male adult, was shot and transported to an area hospital.

His current condition was not known, the statement said.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately available.

No deputies were struck.
