Skull, Human Remains Found In Palmdale

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — Investigators Monday discovered human remains in the area where a skull was found over the weekend in the Antelope Valley.

The skull was discovered around 4 p.m. Sunday in the 6200 block of West Avenue N in Palmdale, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Homicide detectives conducted another search of the same area Monday morning and discovered the remains.

"Clothing found on and around the remains seem to indicate that the remains are female but actual identification will be established through dental records," Sgt. Rich Pena said.

No additional information was released.
