1K SoCal Edison Customers Without Power Due To Wind-Related Issues

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — About 1,000 Southern California Edison customers were without power Tuesday morning due to wind-related problems.

As of 6 a.m., the outages included 830 customers around Riverside County, SCE spokeswoman Lois Pitter Bruce said.

Several thousand customers in various areas including Beverly Hills, Rolling Hills Estates and Rosemead were affected earlier in the day Monday, but by 9 p.m., there were only about 1,570 customers without power.

"SCE will provide the latest information about outages at www.SCE.com on Facebook and Twitter, and via our mobile "SCE Outages" app, available online at www.SCE.com/outages. Customers can report any unplanned outages at 1-800-655-4555," the company stated in a press release.

Close to 13,000 Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers experienced wind-related outages Monday as well. The company has restored power to all those affected, Kim Hughes of the LADWP said Tuesday morning.
