6 Boys Need Rescue After Being Stranded On Hillside

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Six hikers -- all boys -- has to be hoisted to safety Sunday after they got stranded on a hillside in Veterans Memorial Park.

Officials said the hikers were reported stranded just before 6:45 p.m.

The six boys -- all uninjured -- were located and hoisted to a fire engine, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

"LAFD has similar incidents the last two weekends in nearly the same location," Scott said. He reminded all hikers to "remain on trails."
