Diddy Latest Victim Of Celebrity 'Swatting' Prank

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —Rapper and record producer Diddy has become the latest victim of a string of celebrity "swatting" pranks.

Los Angeles police officers responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 10300 block of Woodbridge Street in Toluca Lake shortly before 11 a.m. Wednesday.

Authorities made contact with the occupant of the home and determined there was no crime.

The property is connected to Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, but he does not live in the residence.

Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and Ashton Kutcher have all been targets of "swatting" in recent months, where callers report fake crimes to solicit a large police and SWAT response.
