Man Wanted For Attempted Kidnapping In Canyon Lake

CANYON LAKE (CBSLA.com) — Residents of a Riverside County community are on alert Wednesday after the attempted kidnapping of a woman.

Perris police say an unidentified man drove up to a woman and attempted to coax her into his car  in the 31000 block of Railroad Canyon Road in Canyon Lake on Mar. 22.

"The suspect subsequently approached the victim, grabbed her arm, and attempted to pull her into his car," Sgt. Victor Tejeda said.

The woman was able to fight back and get away, Tejeda said.

The suspect was described as a white man, between 25 and 35 years old with brown hair. He is approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, between 180 and190 pounds, and wearing a plain black T-shirt and blue jeans.

The suspect was driving an unknown-make or model 4-door black car, possibly resembling a Toyota.

Anyone with information should call Sergeant Tejeda of the Perris Police Department at (951) 210-1093, or call anonymously at (951) 210-1000.
