LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles police are seeking the public’s help as they continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the murder of a 62-year-old man.

Cornelius Rich, who is also known as Andre Depree, was pronounced dead about 10:10 a.m. on March 19, police said in a department statement.

Authorities say they responded to an apartment building in the 500 block of S. Kingsley Drive to conduct a welfare check and found the victim.

An autopsy performed on Rich indicates that he died of blunt force trauma. A motive for the killing is unknown.
