Multi-Vehicle Wreck On 57 Freeway Causes Diesel Spill
SAN DIMAS (CBSLA.com) — A multi-vehicle wreck in San Dimas has caused about 60 gallons of diesel fuel to spill onto the right shoulder of the Orange (57) Freeway.
The accident on the northbound freeway near Via Verde occurred about 3:36 a.m. Sunday.
Cheyenne Quesada of the California Highway Patrol told City News Service that a vehicle rear-ended a big rig vehicle hauler, causing the spill.
Officers at the scene also reported an overturned pickup truck.
Quesada says at least one person was taken to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center in unknown condition.
