Police Search For Suspect Who Fatally Stabbed 17-Year-Old In Van Nuys

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) —Police are searching for the person who fatally stabbed a 17-year-old boy in Van Nuys Sunday.

Authorities responded to a call of a fight in progress around 1 a.m. in the 15700 block of Sherman Way.

When officials arrived on the scene, they saw a large crowd leaving the area.

Witnesses then pointed them toward Robert Rizo, who was on the ground with multiple stab wounds.

The teenager was taken to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery, but died a day later from his injuries.

Investigators believe Rizo was attacked by several suspects when a fight broke out at a party. One of the assailants stabbed the victim with a knife.
