Man, 52, Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Adult, Committing Lewd Act On Child
RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — Riverside police have announced the arrest of a 52-year-old man they accuse of committing a sexual assault on an adult and a lewd act on a child.
Ammar Hassan Khalifh was arrested on Feb. 6 just after 8 p.m., said authorities with the vice unit.
An investigation reportedly began in 2010 after police received a complaint of a lewd act committed by a man against a child at a local business in the 4000 block of Mission Inn Boulevard.
A second victim, an adult, reportedly came forward and accused Khalifh of a sexual assault last month. This crime allegedly took place in a business located in the 200 block of E. Big Springs Road, said authorities.
Investigators linked the crime against the child with the adult. They also believe there may be additional victims.
