NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Officials Sunday checked out reports of a possible Christopher Dorner sighting in Northridge.

Around 3:33 p.m., authorities said police were dispatched to Fashion Mall in Northridge.

A search began near Plummer Street and Corbin Avenue, according to Gus Villanueva, a detective with the Los Angeles Police Department.

“The situation is ongoing, and we have resources out there checking out the reports,” Villanueva said.
