Moreno Valley School Board Member Found Guilty Of Pimping, Other Counts

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A Riverside County jury has convicted a Moreno Valley school board member of 23 felony counts, including pimping.

The verdict for Mike Rios came down Friday afternoon.

After deliberating for about a day, jurors found Rios guilty of 12 counts of pimping and five counts of pandering.

He was also convicted of six counts of insurance fraud.

Rios was also facing two rape charges, one of which he was found not guilty of.

The jury deadlocked on the second count.

Rios was taken into custody after those verdicts were read.

He is expected to return to court in March for his sentencing.
