Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 4)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Good Morning...and congrats to the Raven Fans, sorry to my Niner friends!

There is a small trough scooting down the Southern California coast this morning. We may see some cloud associated with it, otherwise a ridge of high pressure is going to build in behind it later today.

While we are anticipating a couple of degrees of cooling, it will still be mild today.

The weather starts to turn tomorrow as a bigger low pressure system makes its push to the south. We will start with a general cooling trend and may see the return of some marine layer. The system should arrive at some point late Thursday and early Friday.

There are some good dynamics with this system and it is a cold core to it. That will translate into the possibility of a thunderstorm and some low snow levels, however it doesn't look like there is a lot of moisture associated with the system so this shouldn't be a major rain maker.

We will have to watch the track of the low to see if it does pick up more moisture along the way. Temperatures will run much cooler.

Coast-low 70s
Basin-mid 70s
Valleys-mid 70s
Mountains-low 50s
Deserts- upper 60s
