Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 31)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The next couple of days here in the Southland should be lovely.

An off-shore flow combined with a dry and warm air mass will warm our temperatures a few degrees.  Expect daytime highs to pump up to the mid 70s...we will be running 6 to 8 degrees above average.

The high pressure will break down a bit over the weekend for some cooler temperatures and some more mid and high level clouds.

The extended forecast is now looking much drier.  Depending on your love of rain, this is a good thing or a bad thing.  We are still running about 3" below average for our rainfall and this does not bode well for us.  February is traditionally the wettest month of the year...and right now there does not appear to be any rain until at least the end of next week.

Coast-low 70s

Basin-mid 70s

Valleys-upper 70s

Mountains-upper 40s

Deserts- upper 60s
