OC Man Turns To Social Media To Find His Stolen Pooch

ANAHEIM HILLS (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County resident says he's heartbroken that his miniature Schnauzer, "Bella," was stolen and he's determined to get her back.

Anaheim Hills resident Vic Steel said he's posted flyers across his neighborhood and he's now turning to social media to find his pooch.

Surveillance video from a local business shows Bella being taken from Steel's home.

"I think it was less than 30 seconds. I came over here and she was gone," Steel said of the day she was taken from his home -- shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 13. "You can see a very grainy, shadowy reflection of my front door. You see Bella standing in the open front door and the person walk up, bend down, pick her up and walk away."

It happened shortly after 3:30 p.m. Dec. 13: "It was right before Christmas. I just know in my heart she was a Christmas present, I really do."

He posted a photo of Bella on a Facebook page called "Anaheim Hills Buzz" and now his story is abuzz on the web. People have printed out hundreds of copies of the flyers and posted it in pet supply stores and in groomers' shops.

Steel described his 12-pound dog as having bright eyes and crooked ears.

He said Bella never left his side. He even took her to work with him.

The Anaheim Hills resident said he won't give up until he finds her.

Anyone with information was asked to call Steel at (714) 240-3693.
