Alleged Drunk Driver Blamed For Killing 2 In Colton Crash

COLTON (CBSLA.com) —  Two people were killed and one person critically injured in a crash caused by a drunk driver in Colton Friday evening, according to authorities.

On Saturday, officials said the crash was caused by a Moreno Valley man who was allegedly driving under the influence.

Police arrested 29-year-old Michael Hughes and booked him into the San Bernardino County Jail.

Neither of the deceased were identified pending notification of their next of kin.

The collision occurred about 7:25 p.m. near Main Street and Placentia, said Colton Police Chief Det. Ray Mendez.
