Man Reportedly Shot Following Altercation In Pasadena

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A man was shot in Pasadena Tuesday afternoon after getting into an argument with two men, police reported.

The victim's brother, who may have also been involved in the altercation, called police to say his brother had been shot near Chester and Villa streets shortly after 2 p.m., Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema said.

The victim was hospitalized in serious condition.

Two men were seen leaving the area in a tan-colored vehicle. Hettema said they are considered persons of interest.

The lieutenant said the shooting didn't appear to be gang-related.

"We're still trying to figure out if family members or who knows were involved," Hettema said. "We have a lot of people out there, but so far we're just scratching our heads on this one, so far."
