Authorities Searching For 2 Men In Santa Clarita 'Hot Prowl' Burglary

SANTA CLARITA (CBS) — Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying two men accused in a hot prowl burglary at a home in the 26100 block of Quartz Meza Lane.

The victim was upstairs around 3:15 p.m. on Jan. 3 when she heard footsteps and noise coming from her kitchen, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

When she shouted downstairs, the suspects ran out of the house with her purse. She caught up with them in her front yard and ripped her purse away from one of the men, officials said.

The second suspect has been described as Latino and five feet, eight inches tall. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a black jacket.

The vehicle the suspects left in has been described as a white 1992-1995 Lexus LS 400 with gold trim.

Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Det. Christensen at (661)255-1121.
