Search Continues For Missing Santa Clarita Woman, 19

CANYON COUNTRY (CBSLA.com) — The search continued Saturday for a missing 19-year-old Santa Clarita woman.

Sarah Katlyn Alarid was last seen 3 a.m. Tuesday morning leaving a New Year's Eve party.

Wanted posters bearing her likeness were taped to power and light poles around Santa Clarita Valley Saturday.

Alarid reportedly had a tiff with an ex at the party and left in her car. The ex is being cooperative with investigators.

The party was being held in the Shadow Pines neighborhood of Canyon Country.

Alarid's car is also missing. She drives a 2002 silver Ford Focus with a license plate 4WXE747. The car has a breast cancer window sticker.

Her case was turned over today to the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau, a common procedure when adults go missing.

"It's not like her to run off," said Amanda Angle to the Santa Clarita Valley Signal newspaper.

Alarid was described as white and Latino. She  is 5-feet 4-inches tall, about 115 pounds and has green-gray eyes and reddish-brown hair.
