Rocks Thrown At Park Ranger At Forest Lawn Cemetery
GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — Police on Tuesday responded to calls of a reported assault on a park ranger near Griffith Park.
Two suspects were seen running southbound on Forest Lawn Drive after reportedly throwing rocks at at least one ranger around 12:17 p.m., according to the LAPD.
The reported attack occurred when flower vendors at Forest Lawn Memorial Park were crowding one area when the ranger attempted to clear the area, police said.
The ranger was struck in the head, but sustained minor injuries, according to police.
A perimeter was set up as K-9 officers searched for the suspects.
No other details were immediately available.
