Baby Boy Born In Woodland Hills Among First Of 2013

WOODLAND HILLS (CBSLA.com) — He may be a little bundle, but a baby born at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Woodland Hills rang in the New Year in a big way.

Weighing in at 6-pounds-13 ounces, baby Dorian Martin-Jean Hardy was born at exactly midnight Tuesday at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Woodland Hills.

"We counted down while I was pushing. And he came out. We did the '10, 9, 8' and he came out at '1'," Candice Campudoni, the child's mother, told CBS2's Louisa Hodge.

Campudoni says her baby boy was eager to enter the world, arriving two weeks early. She told Hodge her husband predicted that baby Dorian would be born at midnight.

Said Campudoni, "he swore it was gonna be midnight. We're gonna be the 'first baby.' I was like, 'no way. That's like impossible."

KNX 1070's Jan Stevens reports that although baby Dorian has two older brothers, his mother suspects his birthday parties will be the best… equipped with countdowns and all.

"They're here, excited, looking at their brother sleep," Campudoni said. "I don't know how he's sleeping through all of this."
