SAN FERNANDO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Sunday continued to investigate the death of a man they say was stabbed and then apparently run over by a vehicle in the city of San Fernando.

A statement issued by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department says the victim was found in the 800 block of Harding Avenue about 5:50 a.m. Sunday.

According to authorities, the victim was a young Hispanic man. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

City News Service reports that the Sheriff’s Department is assisting San Fernando police with the homicide investigation.
