Frost Advisory Issued Through 9 AM Friday

CALABASAS (CBSLA.com) — A frost advisory has been issued for portions of the Los Angeles area through 9 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures were expected to fall between 28 and 32 degrees in some wind sheltered locations.

The areas most susceptible to the sub-freezing temperatures include the Ojai Valley and the western portions of the San Fernando Valley into Agoura Hills and Westlake Village, according to the NWS.

Temperatures dipped as low as 36 degrees in Woodland Hills, 39 in Burbank and Van Nuys and 23 degrees in Lancaster.

The chilly temperatures are due to a cold and dry air mass that has moved into the area.

The NWS said the cold conditions could cause harm to pets and plant life left outside.

Daytime highs Friday are expected to reach the low 60 with mostly sunny skies.
