Mother Of 4 Allegedly Murders Man Outside Of Fast Food Joint

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — A mother of four allegedly killed a 49-year-old man outside a fast food restaurant in Ontario on Wednesday.

The incident happened shortly after 2 p.m. at a Jack in the Box in the 2200 block of South Euclid Avenue.

Police said Patricia Gonzalez DeReynaga, 36, fatally shot the unidentified man.

KCAL9's Jeff Nguyen reported that the suspect had a "personal relationship" with the victim.

Authorities were able to identify and find the suspect with the help of witnesses.

"The investigation led us to believe a female was involved with the shooting. We did locate the female at a nearby residence. She was taken into custody without further incident," said Capt. Bill Russell from the Ontario Police Department.

Witness Ernie Espinoza filmed the SWAT team detain DeReynaga at a mobile home park.

"You can see the SWAT team come in and actually, you know, telling her with the loud microphone to get out," he said. "From what I'd seen, she was pretty calm. She just came out, you know? She didn't really hesitate. She came out and gave herself up."

Police said the suspect's children were inside the home when their mother was arrested.

The fatal shooting is under investigation.
