Early Bird Tips For The Perfect Thanksgiving Turkey

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Don't put that turkey in the oven just yet!

Janice Stahl, of the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line, visited the KCAL9 studios Monday to share early bird tips and expert cooking advice to ensure you have a holiday that shines.

Turkey Tips:

- Wash your hands often and keep raw turkey and ready-to-eat foods separated.

- And always cook foods to proper temperatures - the turkey should reach 180° F in the thigh, 170° F in the breast and 165° F in the center of the stuffing.
