Facebook Page Dedicated To Women Who 'Wine' About Their Kids

PASADENA (CBS2) — Moms of the world have turned to Facebook to discuss the trials and tribulations of parenthood—all with a glass of red or white wine in their hands.

So far, more than 640,000 people are fans of the page "Moms Who Need Wine."

Founder Marile Borden said she created the page so mothers would have a platform to drink (responsibly) while they vent and get advice about their kids.

"It's really about life in the trenches of motherhood," she said. "Whether it's wine or chocolate, it's about taking time for yourself."

Janae Williams, a mother of two, said raising children can be a bit hectic.

"It's usually carting the kids from one place to another," she said.

Mother Andrea Torosian said, "Sometimes my kids don't wear pants. That's how crazy it gets."

Williams and Torosian meet at Bodega Wine Bar in Pasadena to decompress after a busy day with their children.

They said drinking with the girls is the perfect way to relax, escape and toast to the joys and challenges of the toughest job in the world.

"I think it gives me some time to relax and not be so stressed out, so when I come back to being a mom, I can be a better mom," said Williams.

Critics caution that alcohol is never a solution to problems at home.
