2 Suffer Minor Injuries In Hollywood House Fire

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Two people suffered minor injuries in a house fire in Hollywood Monday, officials said.

The fire was first reported around 10:30 a.m. at a home in the 1700 block of Van Ness Avenue, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

It began as a car fire and quickly spread to the rear of the house and attic, officials said.

It took 77 firefighters 43 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

Officials say two people suffered minor injuries in the fire, but were treated and released at the scene.

No firefighters were injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Damage estimates were not immediately available.
