Man Dies After Falling Onto Tracks Of Culver City Metro Station

CULVER CITY (CBSLA.com) — A man has died after falling onto the tracks of a Culver City Metro station.

The victim was found about 1:20 a.m. Sunday on Platform 2 of the station located in the 8800 block of West Washington Boulevard.

Investigators say the victim, who has not yet been identified, fell onto the Expo Line tracks. First responders declared him dead at the scene.

Sheriff's Sgt. Andrew Bedogne told City News Service that the man was not hit by a train and showed no signs of trauma.

A coroner's official told CBS2 that the death was being treated as accidental. An investigation was ongoing.
