Officials Identify Couple Found Dead In Canoga Park Home

CANOGA PARK (CBSLA.com) — Two people were found dead inside a Canoga Park residence Friday and officials say the deaths were likely the result of a murder-suicide.

Officers responded to a death investigation call around 3:15 p.m.

The murder-suicide occurred in the 7100 block of Farralone Avenue.

Authorities said both victims had gunshot wounds.

They were later identified as 29-year-old Bahram Varahram, of Canoga Park, and 25-year-old Asleh Meradi Kashkouli, of Albuquerque, N.M., according to Lt. Fred Corral of the L.A. County Coroner's Office.

Varahram shot Kashkouli and then turned the gun on himself, Corral said.

Preliminary reports indicate the two were dating, Officer Rosario Herrera said.
