Arrest Made In Connection With Halloween Party Shooting At USC

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An arrest has been made in connection with this week's shooting at a Halloween party on the USC campus.

Los Angeles police Officer Hall of Media Relations confirmed to CBS2 that a suspect, who was previously detained shortly after the shooting, has been arrested.

His name has not been released.

The shooting outside of a party sponsored by the Black Student Assembly at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center left four people wounded.

It occurred about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Los Angeles Police Department Commander Bob Green said earlier in the week that the suspected shooter and victims were not associated with the university.

"There were two individuals that came on campus that were involved in an argument. One of those individuals pulled a gun and fired at the person he was arguing with and struck him multiple times," Green said. "During that shooting, some of the rounds he fired hit three unintended victims on campus."
