Palmdale Man, 31, Accused Of Stealing $396K In Casino Chips

PALMDALE (CBSLA.com) — San Bernardino County officials announced the arrest of  31-year-old Palmdale man accused in the theft of more than $395,000 worth of gambling chips stolen from a Las Vegas casino.

The chips were stolen from the Venetian Casino in Las Vegas on Oct. 10, said authorities.

Akingide Cole was reportedly taken into custody last Wednesday. Palmdale police say Cole was arrested near his mother's house.

He was tracked down by a task force involving several law enforcement agencies including San Bernardino and Los Angeles County Sheriffs.

Cole was arrested and charged with grand larceny, burglary and possession of burglary tools.
