Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 31)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Expect some cooler weather for this last day of October.  An area of low pressure is dragging into the west coast today with a trailing cold front sweeping down into Southern California.

This is encouraging an on-shore flow.  There is a marine layer over the coastal plain that will burn off, although it might be a little slower burn off than yesterday.

High clouds will develop through the day as the cold front approaches.  There is a chance for rain north of point conception overnight and early tomorrow morning.

Look for more of an extensive marine layer tomorrow morning, probably into the valleys.  Then as the cold front passes it should break up.  We will remain dry here in the metro area as this system passes.

High pressure will start moving in behind this trough and we will see some warmer weather Friday and Saturday.  By Sunday it looks like we are off to the races with another Santa Ana event.
