'Hangover 3' Filming Shuts Down Part Of OC Freeway For 2nd Day

COSTA MESA (CBSLA.com) — Parts of a busy freeway in Orange County closed Sunday to accommodate filming of the Warner Bros. movie "Hangover 3."

The closure impacting the southbound Corona del Mar (73) Freeway between the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway to Jamboree Road interchange went into effect at 5 a.m. It will be lifted at 9 p.m.

Bristol Street is the posted detour.

In addition, the northbound lanes will be closed from Jamboree Road to Campus Drive through 7 p.m.

Sunday marked the second day of the closure. The 73 Freeway between the 405 Freeway and 55 Freeway was shut down for part of Saturday.

Farther south -- where 73 Freeway becomes a toll road -- Warner Bros. is expected to pay the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor $20,000 for use of the road, in addition to, as much as $5,000 to cover the loss.
