Hundreds Of Die-Hard Fans Gather For Schwarzenegger Book Signing In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Angelenos still love Arnold Schwarzenegger—and will even forgive him for showing up an hour late to his own event.

Hundreds of fans gathered and cheered at The Grove in Los Angeles on Friday, all for a chance to meet the former California governor on his worldwide book tour.

The action star and businessman is the author of the controversial memoir, "Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story."

In it, he detailed his "sexcapades" while he was married to Maria Shriver.

Schwarzenegger's infidelity confessions, however, didn't stop his die-hard fans from wanting to see him.

Cassandra Melendez waited at The Grove from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

"I don't plan on dating him. I don't care about making love to him. I just want an autograph. He's cool," she said.

Melendez said the 12-hour wait for her "hero" was all worth it when she was face-to-face with the "Terminator" star.

"I told him (he) was my idol. I showed him my bicep. He's amazing," she said.

Tens of thousands of copies of Schwarzenegger's book have already been sold around the world.

Los Angeles was the sixth stop on his tour.
