Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 3)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We are finally seeing a break in the heat. The high pressure that brought us triple digit heat to Southern California...is starting to move south.

This well help us to cool off considerably over the next several days. Inland temps will drop anywhere from 10 to 15 degrees.

This morning we have mostly clear skies inland...however with a healthy inversion in place there is some patchy dense fog around the area. With a strong on-shore flow and increased marine layer, temperatures will actually dip below average as we make our way into the weekend.

The cut-off low that continues to spin to the west in the Pacific will finally move Monday and Tuesday. Forecast models actually have the low right over the LA Basin by Tuesday. While I don't have a ton of confidence in it right now, it will increase our marine layer and give the chance at a scattered shower.

Coast-mid 70s
Basin-low 80s
Valleys-low 90s
Deserts-low 90s
Mountains-low 70s
