Fontana Man Arrested For Filming Up Women's Skirts

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) —  A 38-year-old man was arrested Monday for allegedly using a camera attached to his shoe to videotape under women's dresses and skirts.

Jose Alderete, of Fontana, was arrested outside of a Target store in the 16900 block of Slover Avenue around 2:45 p.m.

According to Fontana police, a 32-year-old woman was shopping at the store with her husband when he noticed the suspect near his wife.

The victim's husband saw that "the suspect was videotaping under the victim's dress by placing his foot, which had the cell phone attached to it, in a position to have a view under her dress," Sgt. Robert Morris said.

The woman's husband then yelled out, prompting Alderete to flee.

The man chased Alderete to the parking lot and him detained until police arrived, officials said.

Officers discovered "separate videos of other females, which appeared to have been taken at different locations, within the last month," Morris said.

The other victims have not been identified.

Alderete was booked at the Wes Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga.
