Boy, 16, Accused Of Pouring Gasoline Outside Mother's Bedroom After Argument
TUSTIN (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old is in custody after allegedly pouring gasoline outside his mother's bedroom following an argument, authorities said.
The boy, whose name was not released, has been booked on suspicion of attempted murder, Orange County sheriff's Lt. Stu Greenberg said.
The boy's stepfather allegedly caught him pouring the gasoline outside his mother's bedroom about 10 p.m. Sunday.
"The parents overheard him out there and (the stepfather) stopped him before he could do anything or light anything on fire," Greenberg said.
The boy was booked at Juvenile Hall.
It was not known why the mother and son had been arguing.
