Police Arrest 1, Seek Another In Westminster Killing Of 2

WESTMINSTER (CBS/AP) — Police in the city of Westminster have arrested one suspect and are searching for another in the fatal shooting of two people and wounding of another two in a residential garage this weekend.

City News Service reported Sunday that police are investigating the possibility that the shooting was gang related.

Art Barron, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said three adult males and a juvenile were struck when shots were fired in the 13900 block of Iowa Street about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

"It appears that there was some type of altercation with the suspects prior to the shooting and the victims were found in the garage of the residence," Alan Aoki, a public information officer for the Westminster Police Department.

A man died at the scene and a boy died later at a hospital. Two other men sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Police Sgt. Cameron Knauerhaze says identities and further details are being withheld pending the outcome of the investigation.
