WESTMINSTER (CBSLA.com) — Two people have died and two others were wounded following a shooting in a quiet neighborhood in Westminster.

Gunfire erupted outside a home in the 13900 block of Iowa Street about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Art Barron, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said three adult males and a juvenile were standing outside a home when shots were fired.

"It appears that there was some type of altercation with the suspects prior to the shooting and the victims were found in the garage of the residence," said Alan Aoki, a public information officer for the Westminster Police Department.

The fatalities included one adult male and a juvenile. Their identities have not been released.

Barron said two others were wounded. One of the victims was listed in critical condition while the second had non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the shooting may be gang-related. Aoki said as many as two suspects fled in nearby vehicle.

Anyone with more information about this incident is asked to contact the Westminster Police Department.
