WESTMINSTER (CBSLA.com) β€” Two people have died and two others were wounded following a shooting in a quiet neighborhood in Westminster.

Gunfire erupted outside a home in the 13900 block of Iowa Street about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Art Barron, reporting for CBS2 and KCAL9, said three adult males and a juvenile were standing outside a home when shots were fired.

β€œIt appears that there was some type of altercation with the suspects prior to the shooting and the victims were found in the garage of the residence,” said Alan Aoki, a public information officer for the Westminster Police Department.

The fatalities included one adult male and a juvenile. Their identities have not been released.

Barron said two others were wounded. One of the victims was listed in critical condition while the second had non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the shooting may be gang-related. Aoki said as many as two suspects fled in nearby vehicle.
