Actor, Girlfriend Allegedly Hoarded Dogs In Santa Monica Motor Home

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — An actor and his girlfriend face charges of animal cruelty after allegedly hoarding dogs in their Santa Monica motor home.

Andrew Bryniarski, 43, and his girlfriend, 34-year-old Jennifer Abram, were arrested Saturday night in the 2300 block of Third Street, in Santa Monica's Ocean Park neighborhood, Santa Monica police said.

Both were booked on suspicion of misdemeanor animal cruelty, Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis said. Both have been released pending court appearances.

Bryniarski, has appeared in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning" in 2006 and most recently appeared in the "Chopper" TV series, according to IMDB.com.

After a complaint about dogs barking in a motor home, arriving officers found the door to the motor home ajar and saw "several stacks of dog kennels with multiple dogs in each kennel," Lewis said. The motor home reeked of urine, and responding officers could not see if the dogs had food or water, he added.

About that time, Bryniarski and Abram walked up, along with several dogs, Lewis said. The couple was arrested, and 25 dogs were seized by animal welfare officials.
