Facebook Condolence Pages Created For Boy, 7, Who Is Alive And Well

FULLERTON (CBSLA.com) — Someone created eight separate condolence pages on Facebook for a healthy 7-year-old Fullerton boy they claim was killed in an accident.

So far, there have been thousands of responses about the "death" of Javier Ramirez, nicknamed "Liddo Honest" on the social networking site.

The pages include pictures and a video of the dancing boy.

"I am alive and I'm fine…I don't know why they put it, but I just feel bad for that," said Javier.

Patricia Quintano, Javier's mother, has no idea who would have created the fake pages.

"I'm still like, why my son? He's only 7-years-old. He doesn't deserve it. (Javier) told me yesterday, 'Mom, I'm going to die?' He is scared," she said.

In one of the Facebook posts, there were pleas for donations.

"Someone out there is utilizing a tragic situation that never actually occurred to play on people's emotions and to attempt to get a financial gain out of that, so we're taking that seriously. We will investigate this," said Sgt. Jeff Stuart from the Fullerton Police Department

KCAL9 is awaiting a response from Facebook after reaching out to the site about the case.
