Rialto Boy, 2, Found Safe Following Alleged Abduction

UPDATE 9:06 p.m.: CBS2/KCAL9 has confirmed the missing 2-year-old Rialto boy has been found safe.

RIALTO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities on Wednesday asked the public for help in locating a 2-year-old Rialto boy who was allegedly abducted by his biological mother during a supervised visit.

Police were notified of a parental child abduction at a McDonald's Restaurant located at 111 W. Baseline Rd. where Elijah Cardenas and his 1-year-old sister were brought for a court-ordered visitation.

At some point during the visit, Stacey Nicole Patterson, 21, abducted Elijah and fled in a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck.

Patterson, who is Elijah's biological mother, was also accompanied by James Alan Krost, 53, who is believed to be the driver of the pickup truck. The nature of his relationship to Patterson is unknown.

Elijah's sister was unharmed and left with the foster parents.

Patterson currently does not have legal custody of her son Elijah due to a recent child abuse investigation.

Patterson is described as a white female, 5'5" tall, 140 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. She wss last seen wearing a sleeveless purple top with "spaghetti straps" and black pants.

Krost is a white male, 6' tall and 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a 4-door black 2004 Dodge Ram with California license 7N59099.
