Woman, 35, Arrested For Allegedly Allowing Underage Drinking At Burbank House Party

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A 35-year-old woman was arrested Saturday night for allegedly allowing 20 teenagers to drink alcohol at a Burbank house party.

Police were called out twice to the home on Kenwood Street after a neighbor complained of noise and kids drinking beer.

"There were beer cans everywhere. There were empty cases and beer in the refrigerator, so it was quite a scene," said Officer Darin Ryburn from the Burbank Police Department.

Patricia Wince, who was reportedly in charge of the home, was arrested for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police said Wince was renting a room at the house and was responsible for looking after the homeowners' 15-year-old daughter for the Labor Day holiday.

"She has denied everything. She says she stayed in her room and knew nothing about it," said Ryburn.

Authorities said the 20 teens were ordered to call their parents to pick them up.

"Needless to say, some of those parents were not happy that someone was providing alcohol," said Ryburn.

Neighbor Kristi Dadekian said she heard the loud party across the street.

"Apparently it was a pretty long process, and people were out there till 1 a.m. being picked up by their parents," she said.

Ryburn said the incident is a reminder for adults to keep watch of underage drinking.

"There's a tremendous liability… some of these kids are driving and that's one of the things we really want to crack down on," he said.
