Ex-Compton School Teacher Pleads No Contest To Molestation Charges

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — An ex-Compton elementary school teacher pleaded no contest Tuesday to molesting two underage female students.

Ronald Hoppe, 46, entered his plea to two felony counts of lewd acts on a child and two misdemeanor counts of lewd conduct, according to the District Attorney's Office.

While teaching at Foster Elementary School, Hoppe groped two 8 and 9 year old girls beginning sometime in 2005 and 2006, according to prosecutors.

In the plea agreement, Hoppe agreed to 52 weeks of sex-offender classes.

He isn't allowed to contact any underage children other than relatives, and he is prohibited to work at a school, day care or any other place with children.

He will be sentenced to six years in prison if he doesn't follow the plea agreement.
