Fontana Woman Arrested For Allegedly Leaving Son Inside Hot Car

FONTANA (CBSLA.com)— A Fontana woman was arrested Wednesday for allegedly leaving her son locked inside of a car in the sweltering heat while she was getting a manicure.

Erica Sedeno was arrested for child endangerment after two people called the cops when they saw the panicked boy inside a car in a Stater Bros. parking lot.

"He appeared to be sweating quite profusely, and was actually at one point, banging on the window…like he wanted to get out," said Sgt. Robert Morris from the Fontana Police Department.

Police arrived and were about to break a window to get the boy out when his mother returned to the car.

"Mom came out of a nail salon store right nearby and was having her nails done," said Morris.

KCAL9 went to Sedeno's home for comment, but only spoke briefly to an unidentified woman inside the home.

"I don't know," she said.
